Qualifications

Role Overview

Reporting to the Manager - Damage Prevention (DP), this role involves managing and supporting damage prevention activities to ensure the safety and integrity of underground and aerial infrastructure. The successful candidate will contribute to process improvements, host meetings with internal and external customers, and oversee all locate and damage prevention activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor locate tickets, emergency tickets, and construction activities near high-risk infrastructure
  • Support the Locate Desk and Locate Service Providers (LSPs)
  • Manage escalations, site visits, and tracer wire installations
  • Respond to inquiries, ensure compliance, and verify mapping accuracy
  • Coordinate mapping updates and liaise with national and U.S. centers
  • Prepare reports, report discrepancies, and develop relationships with utility owners and municipalities
  • Lead damage prevention initiatives and represent Rogers on committees
  • Identify trends and build networks to enhance damage prevention
  • Maintain records related to ticket processing and incidents
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years in Telecommunications and/or Damage Prevention (preferred)
  • Knowledge of HFC networks, telecom standards, legislation, and One-Call systems
  • Experience with locate management software and field operations
  • Strong multitasking, decision-making, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint
  • Flexibility for overtime and variable shifts
  • Excellent communication skills and report writing ability
  • Knowledge of process improvement and reporting tools like SQL or Power BI (asset)
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 10%
