Job summary

Gracemar Farms Ltd. in Chilliwack, BC is seeking a Livestock Foreman for the Dairy Division to manage and supervise daily dairy cattle operations.

Candidates should have 2–3 years of farm experience, knowledge of cattle health issues and husbandry, and the ability to lead a team, work nights and weekends, and provide health-condition reports on cows and milking- equipment sterilization.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in farm setting, specifically dairy cattle operations.

• Able to handle large herds and breeding programs.
• English language knowledge considered an asset.

Applicants must have 2-3 years in farm setting in dealing including dealing with in raising young dairy Cows, recognize health problems and have a good understanding of husbandry. Agriculture or College background and good knowledge of English an asset. Being able to handle large herds and breeding programs. Starting Wage is 22.00 per hour. Be a team player and be able to give instruction and perform general farm duties and do daily reports on health and condition of dairy cows/ Follow Government Dairy regulations in sterilizing of milking systems.
