Job summary

Prime Acres Ltd. in Abbotsford, BC, is seeking a Livestock Dairy Foreman for its Dairy Division. The successful candidate will have 2–3 years of farm experience dealing with young dairy cows, recognize health problems, and understand husbandry.

Agriculture or college background and good English are assets. You should be able to handle large herds, manage breeding programs, and perform daily health and condition reports, while following Government Dairy regulations for milking systems.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years in farm setting dealing with dairy cows and raising young calves.
• Good understanding of animal husbandry and health recognition.
• Agriculture background or college education with basic English is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general farm duties and daily health/condition reports for dairy cows.
• Follow Government Dairy regulations in sterilizing milking systems.
• Manage breeding programs and supervise large herd operations; night and weekend work.
