GlobalStep in Montreal is seeking a Czech Localization Video game Tester (LQA) to ensure quality of game translations and audio scripts for Czech markets.

You will log errors, suggest corrections, check consistency, and help adapt content culturally for the Czech market. English language proficiency required; team collaboration and comfort with IT tools are important in a multicultural, international environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality of video game translations and related software texts and audio files.
• Enter spelling, grammar, syntax, punctuation and translation errors into our database.
• Suggest corrections to achieve high translation quality for customers.
• Identify inconsistencies in story context or terminology.
• Ensure content is culturally adapted for the Czech market.
• Report tasks using an evaluation sheet to the Lead Tester.

Summary

As a tester, you’ll be responsible for:

Ensuring the quality of video game and related software translations, checking the quality of the language used in various texts and audio files on different media.

Enter all spelling, grammar, syntax, punctuation and translation errors into our database.

Suggest an appropriate and suitable correction to provide the excellent translation quality sought by our customers.

Identify any inconsistencies in the story, lack of context, inappropriate terminology, etc.

Ensure that content is well adapted to the language, culture (e.g. cultural references) and Czech Market

Report these tasks using an evaluation sheet and/or checklist to your Lead Tester.

Requirements

Deep knowledge of culture and language.

Ability to communicate in English, Czech of Europe both orally and in writing.

Ability to understand texts of varying complexity in English.

Experience in translation or localization an asset.
