About the Role

You will apply security disciplines across domains like big data, cloud, wireless, wireline networks, and converged edge networks for TELUS and MSSP customers.

As a Security Consultant for TELUS Next-Gen SIEM team, you will be part of a national team supporting Managed SIEM customers by creating SIEM content, maintaining platform health, supporting data integrity, and engaging vendors for solution enhancements.

What You’ll Do

• Support lifecycle management and use case development for Google SecOps, MS Sentinel, Elastic.
• Deploy and configure automation and orchestration technology.
• Resolve complex problems, consult on use cases, conduct platform health checks, tuning, and integrate security technologies.
• Present security findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Analyze information streams and make timely decisions.
• Continuously develop technical security knowledge.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience with SIEM technologies (SecOps, Sentinel, Splunk).
• 2+ years of IT security systems administration experience.
• Experience with managed security services (MSS).
• Availability for 24x7 on-call rotation.
• Security certifications such as SANS GIAC, ISC2 CISSP, CCSP, ITIL, COBIT, or vendor-specific certifications.
• Ability to obtain Canadian Government Secret Security Clearance.

Great-to-haves

• Additional SIEM experience: SecOps, MS Sentinel, Splunk, Elastic.
• Scripting skills: Bash, Python, PowerShell.
• Experience with GCP, Azure, or AWS.
• Additional certifications: CISSP, CCSP.
• Knowledge of Linux, RedHat.
