Role Overview: The Cybersecurity Engineer will take a hands-on approach to client information security systems and provide active consultation on cybersecurity topics. This position requires both technical expertise and client-facing skills to ensure the effectiveness of clients' security programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of cybersecurity projects across various sectors and industries
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and senior management on project status, risks, issues, and deliverables
  • Provide cybersecurity consulting on incident response, data protection, cloud security, identity management, and security awareness
  • Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments to help clients identify and prioritize potential threats
  • Perform gap analysis using industry-standard frameworks including CIS Top 18, NIST CSF, and NIST 800-171
  • Oversee configuration and remediation of client systems and applications to align with recognized benchmarks
  • Manage vulnerability scanning and analysis to identify and address weaknesses in clients' networks
  • Mentor, coach, and develop cybersecurity team members to foster collaboration and excellence
  • Attend pre-sales calls and provide input to hiring decisions

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of cybersecurity experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, or equivalent
  • Expert knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, including CIS Top 18, NIST CSF, NIST 800-171, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS
  • Strong technical expertise with Microsoft 365 and Defender suites (Defender for Office, Endpoint, Identity, Cloud Apps)
  • Experience implementing and managing security solutions such as firewalls, antivirus, encryption, SIEM, IAM, VPN, and DLP
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with clients while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or related field
  • Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert Certification (SC-100)
  • Microsoft Security Operations Analyst Associate Certification (SC-200)
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Sentinel SIEM
  • CMMC Assessor or Registered Practitioner credentials
