Job summary

Solugenix is seeking a Cybersecurity Threat Detection & Response professional with strong experience in SIEM, MIDR/MDR, threat modeling, threat analysis and incident response. You will proactively identify, analyze, and respond to threats while continually improving detection and response capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, cybersecurity or related field.
• 3–8+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience, depending on seniority.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, GCIA, Security+, CEH, Splunk or Cloud Security certifications are desirable.
• Strong analytical and investigative mindset.
• Ability to correlate information from multiple security tools and data sources.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events and alerts from SIEM and monitoring platforms.
• Investigate suspicious activities and identify potential incidents.
• Develop, tune, and optimize detection rules, correlation logic, use cases and alerts.
• Reduce false positives and improve monitoring effectiveness.
• Perform log analysis across infrastructure, apps, cloud platforms, identity systems and security tools.
• Lead initial triage, investigation, containment, and escalation of incidents.
• Analyze IOCs, attack patterns, and anomalous behavior.
• Coordinate with security, infrastructure, app and business teams during incident response.
• Document incidents, findings, root causes and remediation actions.
• Conduct proactive threat analysis using internal telemetry and external threat intelligence.
• Map threats to MITRE ATT&CK and identify emerging threats.
