Sobeys offers exciting opportunities, and we are seeking a full-time Senior Cyber Security Specialist based out of Stellarton, NS; Mississauga, ON; or Calgary, AB.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments across systems, applications, vendors, and processes to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Document and evaluate risk scenarios using standards like NIST, ISO 27005, FAIR.
• Maintain the enterprise IT risk register, ensuring risks are logged, assessed, and tracked.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate risks for new initiatives and technologies.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and monitor controls.
• Support third-party risk management through vendor security assessments.
• Create and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards.
• Produce risk reports and dashboards for leadership and stakeholders.
• Assist with audits by providing evidence of risk management practices.
• Promote risk awareness through guidance and training.
• Develop strategies to address IT risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Support the Cybersecurity GRC Manager with enterprise risk management tasks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3–5 years in cybersecurity, IT risk management, or IT audit.
• Experience in risk assessments and mitigation processes.
• Familiarity with frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001/27005, COBIT, FAIR.
• Understanding of Identity and Access Management, Network Security, Data Protection, Incident Response.
• Experience with GRC platforms (e.g., Archer, ServiceNow, OneTrust).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Certifications like CRISC, CISA, or CISSP are assets.
