Niagara College Canada seeks a Cyber Security Analyst in Welland, offering a key role in protecting information systems. Applications are invited for the full-time position of Cyber Security Analyst in the Information Technology Services department located at the Welland Campus. The salary range is $46.08/hr to $53.43/hr (Payband K) for a 40-hour work week.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Information Security, the Cyber Security Analyst provides expert guidance and technical support in all areas of information and cybersecurity. This includes technical planning, architecture design, installation, integration, monitoring, and maintenance of security systems across networking, computing infrastructure, software platforms, and external services such as Software as a Service (SaaS) and cloud-based components.
The Cyber Security Analyst serves as a key technical advisor on the performance, effectiveness, and modernization of security systems, ensuring their compatibility and interoperability within the College's existing IT environment. The role also oversees the proper implementation of information security policies and practices, and coordinates institution-wide cybersecurity initiatives to ensure a cohesive and compliant security posture.

This position is open to internal employees and external applicants. External applicants will not be reviewed until all eligible internal employees have been considered. The first consideration for internal employees shall be five (5) business days from the opening date.
Internal employees are those classified as full-time permanent within the Full-Time Support Staff bargaining unit, regular part-time (RPT) employees who have completed probation, and Appendix D employees with six consecutive months of Appendix D service with the College at the time of posting.
We also provide a balance of on-campus and remote work through our recently introduced Remote Work Policy. As a place-based organization, all positions will involve some degree of on-campus work.
