Job summary

Payworks Inc. in Winnipeg is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join our IT Security team. You will monitor our infrastructure, respond to threats, and manage security incidents with a disciplined, analytical mindset.

You will work across vulnerability management, audits, training and projects with a hybrid work model. Ideal candidates have a IT security degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience, plus familiarity with security tools and incident response processes.

Qualifications

• University or college degree in IT security is required or strong asset.
• 3-5 years in a similar IT security role is preferred.
• Ability to explain complex topics to a broad audience.

Responsibilities

• First response support for security incidents and events.
• Monitor assets and environments for threats and indicators of compromise.
• Guide vulnerability trends, mitigation, and patching priorities.
• Conduct security awareness training for employees.
• Support security audits and compliance objectives.
• Participate in security projects ensuring policy alignment.
• Engage in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
