Job summary

COMPASS GROUP CANADA is seeking a Porter to ensure premises are well maintained, assist with setting up spaces, and respond quickly to facility issues. You will engage with office employees and visitors, coordinate with facilities teams, and perform routine floor checks for cleanliness and orderliness.

You will also fill, clean, and maintain coffee and water equipment, communicate with the Canteen lead, and follow health and safety guidelines while restocking supplies.

Qualifications

  • Hospitality experience is a strong asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen and professionalism.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of office technology/equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • On-your-feet role with constant floor presence.

Responsibilities

  • Light housekeeping duties as required.

How you will make an impact:
Reporting to the onsite Canteen Porter Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that the premises are properly maintained, workspaces and meeting rooms are correctly set-up and facility issues are responded to in a timely manner.

As a Porter, you will:

  • Provide engaging and anticipative service to all office employees and visitors
  • Work closely with facilities and other workplace departments to ensure a flawless client experience
  • Conduct routine floor checks for cleanliness, orderliness & deficiencies
  • Fill, clean, and maintain coffee, beverage coolers, and water equipment.

About you:

The hourly wage range for this position is $22 to $26. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation.
