Job description

Customer Supply Chain Specialist - 14-Month Contract

Toronto, ON, Canada

Reporting to the Manager, Customer Supply Chain, the Customer Supply Chain Specialist will act as a key liaison with the customer and sales departments to develop professional, long-term relationships through accurate and timely order management, process improvement, and short- and long-term problem resolution.

Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately process, audit, and manage customer orders in JDE (including availability, compliance, and timeliness).
  2. Follow up on stock shortages, order shipping, customer-specific requirements (e.g., ticketing and labeling), and miscellaneous issues related to the accurate and timely shipment of orders.
  3. Serve as the point of contact with customers to answer questions and resolve discrepancies regarding stock, availability, shortages, shipment timing, and company policies (e.g., minimum order size, back orders).
  4. Complete month-end reporting and closing activities on schedule.
  5. Prepare monthly case fill reports.
  6. Make and implement recommendations to optimize current policies and procedures.
  7. Assist with audits and clearing of customer non-compliance charges for assigned customers.
  8. Process OS&D deductions for the assigned customer portfolio and provide insights to the Customer Supply Chain Manager.
  9. Monitor open orders to ensure timely processing from receipt to delivery.
  10. Update customers on order shortages and delays to minimize impact on On Time and Case Fill metrics.
  11. Create monthly customer scorecards.

Qualifications:

  1. 3-4 years of experience in customer service and order management within an MRP environment (JDE or SAP preferred).
  2. Supply chain and EDI experience preferred.
  3. Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, and experience with order entry systems.
  4. Analytical skills.
  5. Post-secondary education required.
  6. Excellent problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and French.
  9. Ability to collaborate effectively to solve problems and resolve issues.
