THE JOB

The Sr Engineer is a proactive, self-starting individual with a proven track record of working as part of an engineering team to achieve outstanding results. The candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and embraces technology to solve business problems in high-volume, high-scalability environments. The team is responsible for translating client requirements into implementation plans, providing consultations, diagrams, and documentation for complex integration cases. Additionally, the team gathers client feedback and translates it into actionable business and technical requirements for the SDK team.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Develop strong relationships with clients; partner with them on ideation and execution of new products and integrations.
  • Participate in architecture and solution design, mentor engineers, explore frameworks, toolsets, or processes to improve team productivity, and ensure quality software delivery.
  • Work closely with product and non-technical staff, engage in coding and code reviews, collaborate with QA on test plans, and oversee software development using Agile methodologies.
  • Ensure timely development and deployment of new applications or enhancements to existing applications.
  • Ensure projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user needs, and resolve systems issues as needed.
  • Own the development and adherence to architectural, coding, and security standards/governance.
  • Contribute to product roadmap development to prioritize features and projects delivering maximum value.
  • Research and recommend software products and services to support procurement and development efforts.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, mainly in Native Android and iOS development, with a deep understanding of full-stack development, app performance, and architecture.
  • Strong communication skills to clearly articulate technical solutions and requirements.
  • Extensive experience in mobile app development on iOS and Android platforms.
  • Ability to work under pressure efficiently.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and project management tools like JIRA.
BEHAVIORAL SKILLS
  • Ability to meet commitments and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Great team player with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and negotiate with stakeholders regarding deliverables.
  • Experience building high-performance services or applications.
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimizations at scale is highly valuable.
