Job summary

Fresh Market Foods in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, is seeking a Customer Service Supervisor to lead our front-end team and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role involves supervising cashiers, coordinating shifts, training staff, and ensuring a welcoming checkout experience. English proficiency required; French is an asset. Permanent full-time position with benefits and relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service or retail.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in retail is an asset.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Answer customer questions and ensure customers leave satisfied.
• Attend customers in person/over the phone and resolving customer complaints.
• Train and supervise cashiers.
• Co-ordinate and schedule the activities of the cashiers.
• Monitor cashier performance, ensure accuracy, and provide coaching and additional training as needed.
• Support cashiers in resolving operational and service-related issues.
• Maintain specified inventory and order merchandise.
• Ensure front-end presentation standards are maintained, including cleanliness, signage, and displays.
• Authorize payments, voids, and merchandise returns as required.
• Make recommendations to management concerning staff and improvement of procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $21.00 – $24.00 per/hour (depending on experience)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Transportation:Fresh Market Foods will cover aone-time round-trip travel costfor the successful candidate to our location and back to their permanent residence at the end of the work period. (This does not include the cost for a full trailermove(household goods, trailers, or large personal belongingsetc.).
