Job summary

Walmart Canada in Charlottetown, PEI is seeking a General Merchandise Associate to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining the general merchandise area and assisting with stocking and sales.

You will greet customers, help locate merchandise, and support floor coverage to ensure a safe, clean shopping environment. Starting wage is CAD 17.15 per hour, with opportunities to grow within the store.

Qualifications

• Provides exemplary customer service by greeting customers and helping them with product information.
• Maintains and zones the general merchandise area.
• Assists with stocking and sale of goods.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assists customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues.
• Covers an assigned area(s) on the salesfloor; zones assigned area; moves feature merchandise to its modular home.
• Works recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas of the store; assists with Front End coverage; communicates with other associates to ensure floor coverage is maintained.
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including safety sweep logs and securing displays and fixtures.
• Stocks merchandise/picks, Downstocks if applicable; applies product protection when required; sets and completes modulars and sets new shelf caps.
