Job summary

Alteo Inc. is seeking a Customer Service / IT Support Specialist for a 12-month on-site contract based in Montreal (West Island).

The role provides front-line IT assistance, user support, and responsibilities to manage devices like IP phones, copiers, and workstations, with a strong emphasis on customer service and problem solving.

You will greet users, install and configure devices, coordinate with vendors for repairs, and ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• DEC in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in Level 1 IT user support.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• Excellent customer service skills; enjoys helping users.
• Knowledge of computer network administration.
• Knowledge of installing and configuring workstations, multifunction copiers, and IP phones.
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
• Resourceful and self-reliant.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be on-site Monday through Friday to greet users and visitors and address their needs.

• Ensure the smooth operation of multifunction copiers: resolve software installation issues, coordinate maintenance and repairs with the vendor, and provide training to new users.
• Install and configure IP phones for new users. Troubleshoot first-level issues and, if necessary, contact the telephone service provider for more complex problems.
• Manage access cards: prepare new access cards for new users, program building doors, and monitor the system’s proper functioning. Coordinate the vendor’s visits for repairs or maintenance services.
• Manage the key system: maintain the key inventory, have copies made as needed, and update the list of key holders.
• Manage meeting room reservations, program access readers to grant permissions, and ensure that the rooms are fully functional for users.
• Monitor the condition of the premises with regard to facility maintenance.
