BC Ferries is seeking a Customer Service Attendant for the Salt Spring Island - Long Harbour Terminal. Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in food service.
• Valid Seafarer’s Medical, Food Safe Level 1, and Serving it Right certificates required.

CUSTOMER SERVICE ATTENDANT

Salt Spring Island - Long Harbour Terminal

Position Type: Casual

Role Summary: As a casual on-call Customer Service Attendant, you will prepare and serve a variety of foods and beverages, assist in the preparation and presentation of menu items, take passenger orders, and ensure cleanliness and readiness of passenger and kitchen areas. You will perform housekeeping and major cleaning routines throughout the vessel, along with other related duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work in a high-volume, customer-focused environment
• Physically capable of performing demanding tasks
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Team player who adapts well under pressure and is flexible with tasks

Experience & Certifications:

• At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in food service
• Occupational First Aid Level 3 (asset)
• Professional Cook Level 1 (asset)
• Valid Seafarer’s Medical, Food Safe Level 1, and Serving it Right certificates (required, can be obtained after employment offer)

Additional Information:

• Guaranteed 12 shifts per month during peak summer season, subject to availability
