Job summary

MacEwen in Strathroy, Ontario is seeking reliable Customer Service Representatives to join our team in person at the convenience store and gas pump area.

One full-time and one part-time position are available. You will greet customers, handle transactions, process lottery, and stock shelves while maintaining a clean, safe environment. Experience in retail or gas stations is an asset; scheduling includes evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, retail, or gas station experience is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle cash and perform transactions accurately.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting and stocking duties.
• Ability to work evening shifts, weekdays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Accurately handle cash, debit, credit, and other monetary transactions.
• Process lottery sales and validate lottery tickets.
• Sell age-restricted products, including cigarettes, beer, and wine, in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Authorize fuel purchases and assist customers with pump-related inquiries
• Process purchases for all convenience store merchandise.
• Maintain accurate cash balances and follow cash handling procedures.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed.
• Keep the store, washroom facilities, and gas pump area clean, organized, and presentable.
• Monitor store inventory and report low stock levels.
• Follow all safety, security, and loss prevention procedures.
• Provide prompt and courteous assistance to customers and resolve customer concerns professionally.
