As a JazzCustomer Service Agent, you will be part of a team representingAir Canada Express. Your responsibilities include greeting passengers, assisting with check-in and bag tagging via our web-based system, and facilitating boarding and deplaning. You may need to lift suitcases or push wheelchairs. The airport environment can be fast-paced, especially during aircraft arrivals and departures; however, safety and customer service are our top priorities.

Our Customer Service Agent shares why they are passionate about their work:

To provide exceptional customer service by greeting and serving passengers at airport counters and gates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Using an airline computerized system: make reservations, assess fares, ticketing, complete daily sales reports, passenger check-in, weigh baggage, calculate excess baggage charges, and process payments.
  • Make general passenger announcements.
  • Liaise with external and internal customers such as ramp agents, flight crew, and dispatch.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by answering inquiries at the airport.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints.
  • Assist with departure gate customer service, boarding, and passenger assistance to and from aircraft.
  • Perform duties following established policies and procedures, prioritizing safety for yourself, colleagues, and customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Additional duties depending on the base may include:

  • Handling missing or damaged baggage claims.
  • Operating jet-ways.
  • Conducting radio communications with aircraft and recording flight information.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous airline experience or post-secondary courses in travel and tourism are assets.
  • At least one (1) year of customer service experience.
  • Basic computer skills, including typing and internet navigation; experience with airline reservation systems is an asset.
  • Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, handle tight deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
  • If hired, successful completion of the Customer Service Agent Initial training course is required.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification ID pass.
  • French language skills are an asset.*
