Job summary

Wal-Mart Canada Corp. is seeking a General Merchandise Associate in Toronto to deliver friendly, professional customer service and keep the sales floor neat, stocked, and ready for shoppers.

You’ll assist with product selection, promote services, and help resolve customer concerns across the general merchandise area. Responsibilities include maintaining floor coverage, assisting with front-end needs, merchandising, zoning, recovery, and applying shelf maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an Excellent Customer Experience by greeting customers, assisting with product selection, promoting products and services, helping locate merchandise, supporting purchase decisions, and resolving or referring customer concerns as needed.
• Sales Floor Coverage and Team Support covers assigned areas of the sales floor and assists with Front End coverage when required.
• Merchandising, Zoning, and Recovery: assigned areas to maintain a clean and organized sales floor, moves feature merchandise to its modular location and processes recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas of the store.
• Stocking and Modular Execution: stocks merchandise and picks, completes downstocking as required, applies product protection when needed, and sets and completes modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
• Safety, Cleanliness, and Compliance: maintains a safe, clean, and hazard‑free work environment by following Company policies and procedures, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
