Job summary

Calgary Co-op is seeking a Front-End Service Clerk to ensure a safe, friendly, and efficient shopping experience in our Calgary location. You will support customers, handle merchandise, and maintain a clean, organized sales floor while following company policies and safety protocols.

The role requires English fluency and prior retail experience; training and opportunities for growth are offered in a cooperative environment focused on community welfare and member service.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English (CLBA 5+).
• Previous retail or related experience.
• Grade 9 or acceptable combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and maintain positive customer relations in a diverse team environment.
• Handle merchandise to maintain quality, minimize damages, and keep the department neat and stocked.
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety, Food Safety and Environmental policies to protect staff and customers.
• Care for, use, and report repairs for equipment and tools as needed.
• Perform Front End Service Clerk duties: opening/closing, stocking, cleaning, deliveries, wrapping, and stock replenishment.
• Assist with signage and obtaining change for cashiers as part of daily operations.
