Job summary

Walmart Canada in Wallaceburg, Ontario is seeking a General Merchandise Associate to deliver friendly customer service, stock shelves, and maintain organized sales areas. You will help customers locate items, promote products, and support front-end operations while adhering to safety standards.

The position starts at a minimum hourly rate of $17.75 and offers opportunities for growth through experience and internal advancement.

Qualifications

• Age – 16 or older

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assists customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
• Covers an assigned area(s) on the salesfloor.
• Zones assigned area.
• Moves feature merchandise to its modular home.
• Works recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas of the store.
• Assists with Front End coverage.
• Communicates with other associates to ensure floor coverage is maintained.
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
• Stocks merchandise/picks, Downstocks if applicable . Applies product protection when required. Sets and completes modulars, including flex modulars and sets new shelf caps.
