Job summary

National Car Rental in Winnipeg is seeking a Customer Experience Representative to join our branch team. This part-time role involves face-to-face and phone customer service, handling reservations, quotes, and general questions, plus back-office support as needed.

You will greet customers, assist with rental needs, explain terms and vehicle features, and may upsell optional protections and add-ons. Training and a collaborative environment are provided at this location.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or above required; some college preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service or sales experience in retail, guest services, or administrative support.
• Valid Manitoba Class 5I or Class 5F driver’s license with <=2 moving violations/at-fault in past 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol related conviction in past 5 years.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada; no sponsorship needed.

Responsibilities

• Take incoming calls—reservations, rate quotes, general questions; provide information and resolution for customers, other branches, insurance companies, dealerships, repair shops and other vendors.
• Manage outgoing calls for callbacks, accounts receivable, and miscellaneous calls as assigned.
• Provide high level of customer service by assisting customers and assessing rental needs in person and over the phone.
• Meet and greet customers in a friendly and timely manner.
• Provide directions and general assistance.
• Assess condition of rental upon return; process returns, check-ins, and exit kiosk transactions.
• Market the company while transporting customers safely and courteously; assist customers as needed.
• Explain rental terms, vehicle features, and other services; may upsell protection products and add-ons.
• Notify management of vehicle problems or maintenance needs.
• Clean vehicle interior and exterior as needed; perform basic accounting tasks and reporting.

The Customer Experience Representative (CER) will provide a high level of customer service by assisting both internal and external customers, primarily face-to-face, supporting their branch and rental needs. The CER will gain knowledge through local training and hands-on experience to provide administrative support, service customers, and act as a rental back-up in a large home city branch or airport location.

Responsibilities

• May sell optional protection products, upgrades, fuel options and other additional equipment
• Responsible for notifying Management of any known vehicle problems and any required vehicle maintenance
• Clean vehicle interior and exterior by hand or by operating washing equipment when needed
• Perform various administrative and basic accounting functions such as: research and billing support tasks, accounts receivables, transfer and key logs, run miscellaneous reports, supply maintenance, process customer billing
• Perform miscellaneous and backup duties job-related duties as assigned
