Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order within our facilities, showroom, and offices, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all employees and visitors. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Main Responsibilities

1. Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in various areas of the facility, showroom, and offices.
2. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by regularly sanitizing surfaces and restocking supplies.
3. Handle waste disposal by collecting trash and recycling materials in accordance with company policies.
4. Conduct minor facilities maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and reporting any maintenance issues to management.
5. Ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.
6. Follow safety protocols and guidelines while performing cleaning duties to ensure a safe working environment.
7. Assist with special projects or events that require additional cleaning or setup support.

Requirements

1. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required.
2. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
3. Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
5. Good physical stamina; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
6. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
7. Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
