Job summary

Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools is seeking a part-time Custodian for Holy Cross Catholic School to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Start date: September 25, 2026.

Ideal candidates will communicate clearly, pay attention to detail, and keep classrooms, bathrooms, and common areas tidy. A recent Police Information Check will be required if selected, and shortlisted applicants will be contacted.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Attention to detail.
• Keep building neat and clean at all times.
• Empty trash containers in classrooms, bathrooms and all common areas throughout the facility daily.
• Vacuum/dry mop all floors and stairs daily.
• Clean bathrooms (sinks, toilets and counters/fixtures/dispensers and walls/door frames) and classroom sinks daily.

Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools covers a geographical area that includes the regional communities of Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Sexsmith, and Spirit River.

Position Overview

Custodians are responsible to maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment, which contributes a great deal to the morale of the school population and an appealing appearance to the public.

Starting compensation will be as per the collective agreement: $24.57/hour along with a generous benefit package.
