Job summary

District School Board Ontario North East seeks an experienced custodian to maintain school facilities. The role involves evening cleaning and related tasks to keep driveways, hallways, classrooms, and common areas safe, clean, and healthy for students and staff.

The position requires reading and interpreting safety rules, writing routine reports, and performing medium to heavy physical labor. WHMIS certification and a high school diploma are needed; prior custodial experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Board's buildings by performing routine cleaning and related tasks to ensure a safe, clean, healthy environment for students, staff and visitors.
• Work during the evening shift (3:00pm–11:00pm) and adhere to CUPE collective agreement provisions.
• Follow safety procedures and WHMIS guidelines while using cleaning materials and equipment.

Compensation:

Salary in accordance with thecurrent CUPE collective agreement Collective Agreement - $22.50 - $28.45 per hour
