Job summary

Sd62 is hiring custodians to maintain a safe and clean learning environment across its schools on southern Vancouver Island. The roles include on-call, temporary and permanent positions with a starting wage and benefits outlined by the district.

You will be part of a team ensuring classrooms and facilities meet high standards of cleanliness and safety. Ideal candidates will have secondary education and some cleaning experience; BSW Level 1 is preferred.

• Completion of secondary school; BSW Level 1 course preferred.

What you'll be doing...

Custodians play a vital role in our schools by assisting to create a safe and clean learning environment where all students can participate in learning activities and programs.

What you need to apply...

As a Custodian, we are looking for candidates that effectively communicate and collaborate, build relationships and support a welcoming and safe environment and have the following education and experience:

• Completion of secondary school and preferably completion of recognized Building Service Worker (BSW) Level 1 course
• Up to three (3) months cleaning experience or one-year experience in a related environment of cleaning
