The University of Ottawa invites applications for a Lab Demonstrator position for the Biochemistry Laboratory II BCH3346 course at Main Campus. This CUPE role includes supervising one 6-hour lab per week, presenting to students, and assessing lab work throughout the 2027 winter term.

Nature of Work

As a lab demonstrator, you are responsible for the supervision of one 6-hour lab session per week over the course of the semester. During the lab session, you will be expected to give short presentations to the students as well as evaluate their lab performance. Duties also include the correction of lab reports, the evaluation of oral presentations and responding to student e-mails Implementation of safety Guidelines in the laboratory

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Biochemistry or equivalent;
• Demonstrated experimental knowledge of biochemical techniques;
• Successful completion of WHIMIS and Occupational Health and Safety workshops.
