Job summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking tutors for the GENETICS BIO2133 course at Main Campus for the 2027 Winter session. Ten tutor positions run Jan 1 to Apr 30, 2027, with total work hours 86 and hourly rates of CAD 33.83 for undergraduates or CAD 53.31 for graduates.

Positions are in-person and paid without vacation pay. Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; graduate students at the higher rate.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of BIO2133 or course equivalent.
• WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety (SST) workshops completed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and correcting course materials.
• Grade assignments and provide feedback to students.
• Provide in-class tutoring as assigned; supervision and mentoring of student workers.
