Job summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking five casual Correctors (CUPE) to support ENG1120 at the Main Campus. You will assist in grading tests, essays and exams under supervision, with hours negotiated per semester.

Positions vary with enrollment; undergraduate pay is CAD 32.39 per hour and graduate pay CAD 38.86 per hour, in accordance with the CUPE collective agreement. Work runs Sept 25 to Dec 31, 2026.

The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31.

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.
