We are seeking a responsible Food Service Worker for a permanent, full-time position of 35 hours per week.
Under the supervision of management, the Food Service Worker or cook develops healthy, varied, balanced, and tasty menus, considering the Canadian Food Guide and the early childhood center’s guidelines.
Responsibilities include preparing complete meals and snacks, purchasing and storing food, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of dishes, utensils, equipment, and workspaces.
Planning and purchasing based on the menu and budget, maintaining inventory, ensuring food quality and safety according to MAPAQ standards, and managing food to minimize waste are key duties.
Additional related tasks may be assigned as needed.
This job requires recognized professional qualifications outside the school or university system (certificates, permits, courses, membership in a professional order or association, etc.).
