Position Overview
The CT-114 Aviation (AVN) Technician will report to the Main Operating Base in Trenton, ON.
What You Will Do
- Perform First and Second Level maintenance on CT-114 aircraft mechanical and electrical systems, including servicing, inspection, removal, cleaning, repair, installation, adjustment, testing, and certification of aircraft instruments, avionics, electrical systems, and ground support equipment.
- Carry out ramp duties such as pre/post flight inspections, marshalling, parking, towing, fueling/defueling, and installation/removal of mission equipment, along with crash and salvage response.
- Support mobile repair parties (MRP) through travel and on-site work.
- Participate in training for trade and personnel development, and for qualification/certification purposes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and directives from program managers and supervisors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Commit to IMP’s Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, focusing on safety and compliance with all relevant legislation.
What You Will Bring
- Eligibility through one of the following: graduate of a recognized aircraft maintenance or apprenticeship program; hold a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) "E" license; qualified as an Aviation Technician with the Royal Canadian Air Force; or a graduate of an equivalent foreign military/civilian basic trade-training program.
- Ability to achieve Maintenance Release Authorizations (MRA) within a reasonable timeframe.
- Good knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems, including power plants, flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, environmental systems, basic structures, safety systems, ejection systems, power generation, and distribution. Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, work packages, drawings, blueprints, and Standard Plant Procedures. Competence in using standard computer programs and specialized software as needed. Ability to operate vehicles and tow tractors.
- Participation in Continuous Improvement, Lean, and 5S activities.
- Eligibility for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC-Contract Security Program.
