Job summary

Interior Health in Kamloops, BC, is seeking an experienced CT/IR Technologist to join the Medical Imaging department at Royal Inland Hospital. The role involves performing CT and interventional procedures under Radiologist guidance and supporting trainees in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Professional Practice Leader, you will input data into RIS/PACS, assist during procedures, and contribute to a diverse, inclusive team focused on high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program.
  • Current CAMRT certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT and interventional procedures under Radiologist guidance.
  • Assist Radiologists during procedures and input patient data into RIS/PACS.
  • Provide direction to students and staff trainees.

About the Job

Reporting to the Professional Practice Leader, and under the direction of a Radiologist, performs special procedures such as computer tomography (CT), and/or interventional, as designated. Assists the Radiologists during procedure, inputs patient specific data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) PACS and provides direction regarding procedures to student technologists and staff trainees.

This is a Permanent Part Time (0.76) opportunity.

Shifts of work will be scheduled rotating days, evenings and nights.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program plus successful completion of a recognized program such as Computer Tomography relevant to the designated specialty area.

Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
