Job summary

Woolwich Township in Ontario is seeking two Crossing Guards for the Conestogo and St. Jacobs locations. The position offers a wage of $26.40 per hour with scheduled morning and afternoon shifts.

Responsibilities include aiding children and the public in crossing streets and managing traffic at intersections. Candidates must be able to work 30‑minute shifts in all weather conditions, carry the Stop paddle, and provide a Police Reference Check (Vulnerable Sector).

Responsibilities

• Ensure traffic remains stopped until all pedestrians have safely crossed the intersection.
• Support crossing operations during assigned shifts at Conestogo and St. Jacobs.

Position: Crossing Guard – St. Jacobs and Conestogo

Wage Rate/Grade: $26.40 per hour

Due to vacancies, Development Services is seeking to fill two (2) Crossing Guard positions, with one (1) position available at each of the following locations:

• Conestogo - Sawmill Rd and Evening Star Ln - 8:55 a.m. to 9:25 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• St. Jacobs - King St N and High Crest Ln - 8:40 a.m. to 9:10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Position Overview

Crossing Guards make a difference in our community by assisting in the safe movement of school children, and the general public, in crossing roadways at designated intersections and ensuring traffic remains stopped until all pedestrians have safely crossed the intersection.
