The City of Hamilton is seeking a School Crossing Guard to help children cross roads safely at designated locations. This part‑time role involves standing and walking in all weather, reporting issues to a supervisor, and complying with traffic safety rules.
Work is outdoors across various city locations, requires travel to different sites, and includes completing checks such as background screening and medical clearance as part of the employment process.

Reports to the School Crossing Supervisor and is responsible for ensuring that all pedestrians, namely elementary school children are crossed safely at designated crossing locations.
1.65 - 2.75 hours daily
The individual will be required to travel to various work locations within the City of Hamilton.
As a condition of employment, the successful applicant(s) will be required to obtain a Criminal Reference Check (Vulnerable Sector Screening), at their own expense, prior to beginning work in this position.
As a condition of employment, the successful applicant(s) will be required to obtain a Medical Clearance, Vision and Hearing test, at their own expense, prior to beginning work in this position.
