Position Overview

We are looking for a talented Critical Infrastructure Operator to support the Sr. Manager of Critical Infrastructure Implementation and Operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data center operations and the electrical and mechanical components that keep them running. You will be responsible for maintaining 100% uptime through outstanding maintenance and operations. An entrepreneurial spirit and customer-focused mindset are essential to make your mark within this team at Canada’s leading wireless, cable, and media company.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate multi-megawatt emergency power systems (generators, UPSs, DC Plants, Switchgear).
  • Operate HVAC systems including chillers, refrigerant pumps, RTUs, splits, CRACs.
  • Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance independently; assist with complex repairs.
  • Handle plumbing, belts, lubricants, bearings, filter replacements.
  • Operate and maintain building automation devices and fire systems.
  • Investigate alarms, mitigate causes, and reset systems as needed.
  • Coordinate with external trades and perform water analysis and maintenance.
  • Participate in building upgrades and emergency response teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Trades tickets: Power Engineering, Refrigeration Mechanic, Electrician.
  • Ability to work rotational shifts (days and nights) ensuring 24/7 coverage.
  • Certifications: Building Environmental Systems, IFMA, or BOMA.
  • At least three years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems; experience with Siemens Desigo BMS preferred.
  • Familiarity with WHMIS and safety practices.
  • Ability to operate lifts and forklifts.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

Potential Hazards

  • Exposure to heights, chemicals, noise, voltages, weather, heavy lifting, and awkward positions.
