We are seeking a talented Critical Infrastructure Operator to support the Sr. Manager of Critical Infrastructure Implementation and Operations as an individual contributor. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data center operations and the electrical and mechanical components that ensure continuous operation. Your responsibility will be maintaining 100% uptime through excellent maintenance and operational skills. This role offers a unique opportunity within Canada’s leading wireless, cable, and media company.

What You’ll Do
  • Operate multi-megawatt emergency power systems including generators, UPSs, DC Plants, and Switchgear.
  • Manage HVAC systems such as chillers, refrigerant pumps, RTUs, splits, and CRACs.
  • Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance; assist with complex repairs.
  • Handle plumbing, belts, lubricants, bearings, and filters.
  • Operate and maintain building automation devices, fire systems, and related components.
  • Investigate alarms, reset systems, and coordinate external trades.
  • Conduct water analysis and maintain chemical levels.
  • Participate in building upgrades, emergency response, and other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
  • Trades tickets: Power Engineering, Refrigeration Mechanic, Electrician.
  • Ability to work in rotational shifts, including days and nights, 24/7 coverage.
  • Certifications such as Building Environmental Systems, IFMA, or BOMA.
  • At least three years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems, including Siemens Desigo BMS.
  • Familiarity with WHMIS regulations and ability to operate lifts and forklifts.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
Potential Hazards
  • Working at heights, with chemicals, noise, high voltages, outdoors, heavy lifting, and in awkward positions.
