Job summary

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto is seeking a Registered Nurse for Level III medical-surgical critical care to provide patient- and family-centred care. The nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and align practice with College of Nurses of Ontario standards and Sunnybrook nursing practice.

The role requires critical care experience, a CC course, and commitment to continuing education.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current BCLS certificate.
• Three years of current Level 2 or 3 critical care experience required.
• Completion of a recognized Critical Care Course.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education within the past two (2) years with emphasis placed on courses/conferences related to critical care nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care for Level III medical-surgical critical care patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to care for patients and families.
• Uphold College of Nurses standards and Sunnybrook Nursing Practice standards and the mission and values of Sunnybrook.
• Ensure patient- and family-centred care and maintain a supportive care environment.
