Job summary

SOAR Community Services in Brantford, ON is seeking a Crisis Supervisor to lead direct service staff in delivering client-centered crisis supports within the addictions and mental health sector.

You will supervise staff, coordinate programs, conduct case consultations, and contribute to service improvement, training, and safety planning while reporting to the Manager.

Qualifications

  • College diploma in Social Services or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in roles with individuals, groups or families affected by addictions and mental health.
  • Experience in a leadership role and in supervision/coaching.

Responsibilities

  • Provide non-clinical supervision, coaching, scheduling support, and day-to-day guidance to direct service staff.
  • Support staff performance, development, accountability and engagement through effective supervision and communication practices.
  • Support clients through strengths-based service planning, crisis intervention, safety planning, referrals, education, follow-up, and short-term stabilization.
  • Assess and respond to risk, client behaviour, complaints, incidents, and urgent service needs using established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, client files, reporting requirements, and data integrity.
  • Promote collaboration across programs and partners to support coordinated service delivery.
  • Foster a safe, respectful work environment by supporting health and safety practices and identifying risks.
  • Complete required training and contribute to continuous improvement in crisis service delivery.
  • Facilitate or participate in department and sector case management meetings.

Hours: 37.5 hours -Sunday to Thursday (Sun 9-5, Mon 8-4, Tues 9-5, Wed 11-7, Thurs 11-7)

Location: Brantford, ON

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Crisis Supervisor to support the delivery of responsive, client-centered crisis services within the Addictions and Mental Health sector. In this leadership role, you will supervise direct service staff, support safe and effective service delivery, and help ensure clients, families, caregivers, and community partners receive timely, coordinated, and strength-based support. Reporting to the Manager, the Crisis Supervisor plays a key day-to-day program coordination, staff coaching, case consultations, and the ongoing development and evaluation of program activities.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintainaccuratedocumentation,clientsfiles, reportingrequirements, and data integrity
  • Promote collaboration across programs, departments, referralsources to support coordinated service delivery.
  • Contribute to a safe,cleanand respectful work environment by supporting health and safety practices andidentifyingrisks and concerns.
  • Complete required training,maintaincurrent knowledge of best practices, and support continuous improvement in crisis service delivery.
  • Facilitateand/orparticipatein department and sector case management meetings
What You’ll Bring
  • College diploma in Social Services; University degree in Social Sciences preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with individuals, groups and/or families affected by addictions and mental health conditions and specific experience in a leadership role
  • Must have experienceassessing forsafety risks and safety planning, and a demonstrated ability to apply relevant theoretical models when providing assessments toidentifystrengths, needs and level of risk, and case management
  • Knowledge of evidence-informed best practicescrisisservicedelivery and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations
  • Must have access to reliable transportation, as some travel may berequired
  • Mediation / Conflict Resolution / Leadership training preferred.
