Job summary

J.F.K Systems Inc. is seeking an Inventory Clerk to manage daily tooling inventory, shop supplies, and raw materials, while handling shipments.

Ideal candidates will have experience in manufacturing and familiarity with precision tooling, with strong organizational skills and ERP proficiency. The role emphasizes accurate cycle counts, part tracking, and timely replenishment to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a tool & die shop or heavy manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of carbide and high-speed steel tooling.
• Experience with inventory software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Issue, receive, and track tooling (end mills, inserts, holders) using Plex.
• Inspect incoming shipments and process outgoing shipments against purchase orders.
• Conduct cycle counts, monitor stock thresholds, and reorder standard shop supplies.
• Maintain a clean and organized tool crib and receiving area; coordinate sharpening or replacement of worn tooling.
• Act as primary contact for machinists and toolmakers to quickly locate parts and minimize downtime.

Job description

In this dual-role capacity, you will be responsible for managing daily inventory of tooling, cutting inserts, shop supplies, and raw materials, while also handling incoming and outgoing shipments.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, and familiarity with precision tooling.

Responsbilities will include:

• Issue, receive, and track specialized tooling (end mills, inserts, holders, measuring equipment) using our inventory management system (Plex).
• Inspect incoming shipments, verifying packing slips against purchase orders, and processing outgoing shipments.
• Conduct regular cycle counts, monitor stock thresholds, and reorder standard shop supplies proactively.
• Maitain a clean and organized tool crib and receiving area, and coordinate the sharpening, repair, or replacement or worn tooling.
• Act as primary point of contact for machinists and toolmakers, quicky locating and supplying required parts to minimize machine downtime.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience working in a tool & die shop, machine shop or heavy manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of CNC tooling cutting materials (carbide, high-speed steel), and precision measuring instruments.
• Proficient with inventory software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
