Position Overview

As a Crew Leader, you will lead a team to various job sites throughout the week, ensuring the job is done right, on time, and safely. You will provide guidance and mentorship to team members, helping them develop their arboriculture skills. You will also serve as the main contact for our clients to ensure an exceptional customer experience.

Job Duties

1. Safely and efficiently lead a crew in providing arboricultural care for clients.
2. Direct crew members and equipment, plan, and execute assigned work.
3. Supervise and assist in maintaining, preparing, and operating tools and equipment such as hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
4. Perform tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully, including:
   • Pruning, thinning, and removing deadwood.
   • Installing cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.
   • Removing hazardous trees.
5. Provide expert tree trimming and inspections for client properties.
6. Manage customer service expectations.
7. Follow safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

1. Minimum 2 years of experience as an Arborist.
2. ISA certification or enrollment in an arboriculture program or equivalent.
3. Valid provincial driver’s license; licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle; air brake endorsement is a plus.
4. Ability to safely ascend tree canopies at various heights.
5. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
6. Strong skills in tree, knot, and shrub identification.
