PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

As a Crew Dispatcher, you will communicate with Train & Engine (T&E) employees to assign appropriate tasks while ensuring the timely and cost-effective deployment of crews to meet operational requirements.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Interpret and apply the applicable provisions of the T&E collective agreements.
• Enter data into various computer applications such as Crew Management Application (CMA), Nexus, Auto Crew Caller, and Microsoft Office.
• Make business decisions based on priorities established by the Operations Centre (OC).
• Answer inquiries from employees.
• Maintain Crew Management Application records.
• Monitor T&E maximum hours and mandatory on-duty and rest rules.
• Handle related tasks proficiently as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous dispatcher or call center experience is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under stressful situations.
• Desire to work in a challenging environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
• This position requires shift work and weekend availability, as it operates 24/7.
• Flexibility with changing work schedules is essential.
