What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will receive incoming calls from the branch network, the Advice Centre, and Mortgage Specialists teams across the country. You will serve as a credit specialist, answering questions about credit policies and providing advice on credit structuring for in-flight applications, as well as offering procedural, navigational, and application support with Casper and Linx systems. You will review and assess credit applications submitted by Mortgage Specialists or Branch channels based on business needs.

Please note: This is a hybrid opportunity, for applicants within commuting distance to the 2985 Virtual Way office in Vancouver.

What will you do?
  • Provide high-quality telephone service
  • Act as the first point of contact and expert in interpreting credit policies and guidelines for individuals
  • Assist and guide partners to submit quality credit applications to Credit Adjudication teams
  • Assist clients with System and Tool navigation, integrating resources into conversations to support advice and recommendations
  • Demonstrate commitment to First Call Resolution by taking ownership of caller problems at first contact, applying RBC processes, policies, and procedures
  • Exercise agility to balance customer service and business risk
  • Maintain knowledge of credit policies and procedures using all available tools
  • Adapt in a dynamic environment with frequent changes, emphasizing teamwork
  • Ensure credit submissions include sound judgment and adhere to policies and procedures
  • Verify credit applications and required documentation thoroughly
What do you need?
Must have:
  • Lending experience
  • Commitment, organization, effectiveness, and accountability
  • Basic knowledge of RBC credit policies with excellent fast learning skills
  • Analytical mindset and strong team spirit
  • Capacity to take on additional responsibilities
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work shifts within business hours (7am - 7pm PST Mon-Thu, 7am - 6pm PST Fri, 8am - 4pm PST Sat)
Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of Casper and Linx systems
  • Previous contact center experience
  • Bilingual in French and English
