Role Overview: Credit Risk Manager

You will effectively manage daily financial responsibilities as required by the Knowledge Center, with a focus on minimizing bad debt for assigned companies and analyzing financial risks.

How you create impact
  • Assist the Finance Director in meeting targets set in both the Compliance Plan and the Risk Management Plan.
  • Manage Credit Risk Analyst staff supporting assigned companies.
  • Coordinate communication with Credit Insurance for Credit Coverage.
  • Organize and participate in financial statement reviews or in-person visits with existing or new customers' VP of Finance or CFOs.
  • Liaise with Branch Managers, Area Controllers, and Sales teams regarding credit situations, escalating as needed with external and internal customers.
  • Ensure accurate business records and sound bookkeeping procedures to achieve credit risk goals.
  • Develop and analyze credit reports and financial statements regularly.
  • Host learning webinars via the Kuehne+Nagel Learning Platform (Onboarding + Insurance).
  • Assist management with queries regarding business health and trends (e.g., Risk Alerts, Credit Limit adjustments).
  • Review and validate all business cases for US companies to Local and Global CFOs.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and development for team members.
  • Perform ongoing and annual performance reviews for responsible team members.
  • Support Credit Insurance coordination for all US companies.

What we would like you to bring
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a related field and supervisory roles.
  • 3+ years of underwriting experience in Corporate Insurance.
  • Experience in credit analysis, risk modeling, and portfolio management is highly desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • High confidentiality standards handling sensitive information.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate complex financial data and identify risks.
  • Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to motivate a team.
