Job summary

EQ Bank is seeking a candidate to join the portfolio management team within Customer Risk. You will extract data, build automation for reporting, and analyze how strategy changes affect risk models.

Collaborate across teams to implement improvements and learn the fundamentals of credit card risk management. This role emphasizes quantitative analysis, programming in PySpark/SQL/Python, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Academic focus in mathematics, statistics, business, or a quantitative discipline.
• Hands on programming experience with PySpark, SQL, or Python.
• Expert in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Detail oriented with ability to propose creative solutions.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with MS Excel VBA is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize and work independently.
• Team player and results oriented.

Responsibilities

• Extract and prepare data for ad-hoc analysis and reporting using PySpark and SQL queries.
• Build automation processes for monthly and quarterly deliverables.
• Participate in analysis of business strategy impact on risk models.
• Create and track documentation for risk strategies, reporting, and analysis.
• Conduct risk strategy changes and implementations.
• Explore customer data and brainstorm improvements to existing risk strategies.
