BMO Capital Markets is a leading North American financial services provider offering a broad range of credit and capital markets services. The Global Markets Corporate Banking group underwrites and structures lending facilities for GM clients while monitoring portfolio risk and performance.

The role covers credit analysis, due diligence, AML/KYC processes, and documentation, with opportunities to work on client presentations and strategic initiatives in a fast-paced banking environment.

Qualifications

• An undergraduate degree (or currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with a graduation date of December 2026 or Spring 2027) with coursework in finance, economics, or accounting.
• Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of finance, banking and financial markets.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills used in a demanding team environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills essential for presenting and writing reports.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt to frequent market, systems, and process changes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Legally authorized to work in Canada and will not require sponsorship in the future.

Responsibilities

• Credit Analysis & Due Diligence: research and analyze financial information of clients and industries; assess debt levels and repayment capabilities; provide findings to Account Management.
• Credit Documentation and Presentations: lead AML/KYC processing, review legal docs, prepare concise credit memoranda for presentation to Credit.
• Risk and Portfolio Management: monitor transactions and financial performance; track loan-to-value and exposure; conduct annual reviews and update financing guidelines.
