Job Title: Credit-DataStage Developer

Location: Toronto, ON (Thrice a week onsite)

Employment Type: Contract Opportunity

Job Description

What will you do?

• Design and implement data pipelines
• Utilize strong PL/SQL and SQL skills in a relational database environment
• Develop Unix shell scripts
• Create and review technical design documents, understand design usage in development, and facilitate project meetings
• Participate in walkthrough reviews of specifications, programs, code, and test plans
• Plan design/implementation activities, ensure quality, provide third-level support, and drive platform improvements
• Present technical topics in team meetings and plan work packages
• Estimate activities for design, coding, and testing
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ensure ETL pipelines meet quality standards, with complete and accurate metadata
• Collaborate with development teams to understand needs and promote best practices
• Apply knowledge of SDLC methodologies: Agile, Waterfall, Iterative
• Use GitHub and CI/CD pipelines effectively

Must Have

• 8+ years in complex, time-sensitive development environments
• Hands-on experience with ETL DataStage
• Extensive SQL experience (MSSQL Server, Teradata)
• Experience creating stored procedures and Unix shell scripts
• Support at-scale testing for simulations, UAT, and reporting
