Job summary

Servus Credit Union is hiring a part-time Credit Analyst for our Commercial - CMHC team. The role provides administrative and analytical support to Commercial Banking Advisors and Relationship Managers to help members manage their money.

The position requires reviewing financial statements, preparing credit investigations, and assisting with credit facility documentation. Remote-friendly, minimum 20 hours per week with posting closes Sept 21, 2026.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of banking experience as a Financial Advisor or Credit Analyst.
• Ability to read and interpret financial statements.
• Knowledge of commercial lending processes.
• Understanding of credit risk and security documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and analytical support to Commercial Banking Advisors and Relationship Managers.
• Review financial statements and prepare credit investigations and searches.

• Support credit renewals and complex credit reviews with minimal supervision.

Your primary goal is to provide our Commercial Banking Advisors and Relationship Managers with administrative and analytical support so they can focus on helping their business members feel good about their money.

What you'll be doing:

• Reviewing and analyzing financial statements
• Preparing credit investigations, security inspections and searches
• Working with business Lending Support to oversee procession of credit progress advances
• Preparing credit facility letters for review; assist in resolution of outstanding security/account deficiencies
• Having detailed knowledge and understanding of the corporate structure of members (Op-co, Holdco, multiple owners etc.)
• Understanding and interpreting complex statements; able to consolidate statements
• Calculating and understanding more complex ratios and what they mean in relation to credit
• Being proficient in required security documentation
• Understanding standard conditions for simple and more complex applications
• Completing complex credit reviews and renewal with minimal supervision and be able to complete short form reviews, ensuring compliance with all credit policies and practices using: account status and repayment history, financial statement review, security review, debt service analysis and risk ratings
• Ensuring all documentation is completed and accurate
• Completing new credit application for existing members and be able to provide recommendation
• Completing the entire application for simple credits and most of the application, with little to no supervision required on more complex credit and new member requests
• Assisting members with loan and deposit inquiries
• Communicating information accurately to members and team members
• Preparing commercial loan renewals
• Ensuring a high level of member satisfaction by assisting with inquiries, following up as necessary, and understanding the member's finances to recommend the most valuable products and services
• Differentiating between credit union and competitor products and service
• Participating in the development and support achievement of sales targets and marketing plans

What you bring:

• 1-2 years of banking experience as a Financial Advisor or Credit Analyst
• Knowledge of reading financial statements
• Minimum Grade 12 with combination of education and practical experience
• Diploma in Business Administration or Management with courses in legal terminology or business law an asset
