Job summary

Fortinos in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking a Floral Designer to prepare and display floral arrangements and giftware, while delivering warm, friendly service.

You will assist the department manager, manage orders, maintain sanitation, and train or supervise part-time staff as needed. Availability across days, evenings, and weekends is essential.

Experience or education in floral design is required, along with strong organization and communication skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare, design and display floral arrangements, products and giftware according to customer demand and company standards.
• Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
• Foster strong customer loyalty by selling, educating and consulting.
• Uphold high quality standards of product and proper care/rotation/maintenance of floral items.
• Assist the department manager with day-to-day operations, placing orders for product and supplies, receiving, taking orders, training and supervising part-time employees.
• Ensure safety and sanitation of the department meet company policies and standards.
• Record all waste and scan outs according to procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
