Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Creative Copywriter on a permanent basis on our marketing team.

This position is a remote opportunity based in Saskatoon, SK.

Do you have a way with words and enjoy the thrill of seeing your tagline on a billboard? We’re looking for an enthusiastic copywriter to help shape the voice of Co-op across Western Canada. The successful candidate will craft writing content on a variety of topics including agriculture, energy, food, and home & building solutions that connects with real communities through print, social media, and more.

What you’ll do:

  • Interpret and embody the corporate brand across a variety of marketing and communication materials.
  • Create and refine both short and long-form marketing campaign copy to effectively engage consumers across multiple formats, including print promotional material, digital and social media, articles and other promotional content.
  • Conduct research and interviews with stakeholders and subject matter experts to inform and enrich content.
  • Collaborate with Specialists to support the development of large-scale marketing campaigns and communication initiatives.
  • Participate in interdepartmental meetings and maintain communication with commodity representatives and internal teams.

Who you’ll work with:

You will be one of two Creative Copywriters reporting to the Supervisor, Content Marketing. You will be part of our larger marketing team and will work closely with Marketing Specialists, Coordinators, and Graphic Designers, helping to execute their vision. This team values openness to feedback, curiosity, and communication.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Sales & Marketing and:

  • Have 3-5 Years of Copywriter Experience.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or a related field.
  • Possess high command of the English language, grammatical structure, and the ability to express ideas verbally and in writing.
  • Possess the ability to work in digital channels, including a typing speed of 50 wpm.
